Akulaku Group Distributes Food Aid to Communities Affected by NTT Earthquake

Jakarta, VIVA – Akulugi Group, through PT Akulaku Silvrr Indonesia, PT Akulaku Finance Indonesia, and PT Bank Neo Commerce Tbk, has distributed humanitarian aid for communities affected by the earthquake in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT).

The aid is being channelled through BAZNAS RI (the National Board of Zakat) to support the provision and distribution of basic food supplies to the affected population.

“The distribution process will be carried out through the humanitarian response network of BAZNAS RI, based on the priority needs identified in the field,” said Edy Salim, Director of Information Technology at PT Akulaku Finance Indonesia, in a statement on Monday, 14 September 2026.

The distribution of this aid was marked by a handover ceremony held at the BAZNAS RI Office in Jakarta on 10 September 2026.

Akulaku Group was represented by Herryson, President Director of PT Akulaku Silvrr Indonesia; Edy Salim, Director of Information Technology at PT Akulaku Finance Indonesia; and Adrian Soewardjo, Director of Operations & IT at PT Bank Neo Commerce Tbk.

Meanwhile, BAZNAS RI was represented by H. Syarifuddin, S.Ag., M.E., Head of BAZNAS RI for Research, Planning, Development, and Innovation; H. Fitriansyah Agus Setiawan, S.Sos., M.I.Kom., CFRM., Director of Alms, Charity, and Other Religious Social Funds; Budi Setiawan, Head of the CSR Collection Division; and Fahruddin, Head of the Digital Collection Division.

“We hope this aid can be distributed effectively and provide real benefits to the communities affected by the earthquake in East Nusa Tenggara,” said Edy.

He added that the involvement of the business world and humanitarian organisations can help strengthen collective efforts in responding to disasters.

“We believe that when the business world, social institutions, and the community move towards the same humanitarian goal, the impact produced can be greater. We hope this aid can lighten the burden of the affected communities while supporting them through the recovery process,” said Edy.

The aid will be directed towards the procurement and distribution of basic food staples, including rice, cooking oil, instant noodles, and other essential goods. This assistance is expected to help meet the urgent needs of the community during the emergency response and early recovery stages.
