AKTIF Music from Ministry of Creative Economy supports production of music videos for talents from North Sulawesi
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The AKTIF Music programme of the Ministry of Creative Economy is facilitating music talents from North Sulawesi with support for producing music videos titled “Mulu-Mulu” by Angela Kaunang and “Jangan Pernah Menyerah” by Jesica Theresia Koloay and Aron Fedri Pualalo. The single “Mulu-Mulu” addresses the social phenomenon of gossiping in everyday life, featuring an arrangement in the Electronic Dance Music (EDM) genre blended with the distinctive Manado character known as Disco Tanah. The music video will be released on Tuesday, 21 April. Meanwhile, the duo Jesica Theresia Koloay and Aron Fedri Pualalo’s single titled “Jangan Pernah Menyerah” will be released on Tuesday, 28 April 2026, produced in collaboration with Formi Entertainment. The filming of these music videos took place in Manado and North Minahasa from 24 to 28 March 2026, with visual elements reinforcing the songs’ messages. Creative Economy Minister Teuku Riefky Harsya believes there are many undiscovered talents in the regions. He stated that collaborations in the music subsector should not only occur in major cities but must elevate creative local talents to the national level. Previously, AKTIF Music has helped make local music ecosystems better known, from Aceh, Yogyakarta, Central Java, East Java, Central Sulawesi, Samarinda, to Ambon. The programme not only covers production aspects but also strengthens conceptual understanding and institutional capacity building, which is hoped to drive the growth of an inclusive and sustainable creative economy. Through the facilitation of the AKTIF Music programme, the strengthening of local and national music ecosystems is consistently realised to promote and distribute works that impact the absorption of creative talents.
