AKP Malaungi and Koh Erwin's Wife Examined in AKBP Didik Money Laundering Case
Bareskrim Polri is examining former Head of Narcotics Unit at Bima City Police Resort, AKP Malaungi, as a suspect in the Money Laundering Crime (TPPU) case related to payments of drug proceeds to former Bima City Police Chief AKBP Didik Putra Kuncoro. In addition to AKP Malaungi, the examination is also being conducted on Ais Setiawati, the former wife and treasurer of drug lord Erwin Iskandar. Both were brought from the West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Regional Police to Bareskrim Polri on Thursday (7/5). Malaungi wore all-black clothing and a mask, while Ais covered her face with a jacket. Deputy Head of Sub-Directorate III of the Narcotics Criminal Investigation Directorate at NTB Regional Police, Kompol Bowo Tri Handoko, explained that the examination at Bareskrim Polri follows instructions from the Director of Narcotics Crimes at Bareskrim Polri, Brigjen Pol Eko Hadi Santoso. “We are bringing them to the Narcotics Crimes Directorate at Bareskrim Polri for examination in connection with the TPPU case,” he stated. He added that the examination will later involve a confrontation with former Bima City Police Chief AKBP Didik Putra Kuncoro, who is detained at the Bareskrim Polri detention centre. “Later, possibly with the former Bima City Police Chief, Mr Didik, whom we will also bring,” he clarified. Previously, Bareskrim Polri officially named former Bima City Police Chief AKBP Didik Putra Kuncoro and drug lord Abdul Hamid alias Boy as suspects in the Money Laundering Crime (TPPU). Director of Narcotics Crimes at Bareskrim Polri, Brigjen Eko Hadi Santoso, stated that the suspect designations were made by investigators through a case review held on Wednesday (29/4). Eko noted that in addition to Didik and Boy, three other individuals were named as suspects in the TPPU case: former Head of Narcotics Unit at Bima City Police Resort AKP Malaungi, brother of drug lord Koh Erwin, Alex Iskandar, and the former wife of Koh Erwin, Ais Setiawati.
