AKBP Didik Said to Have Received Security Money from Drug Trafficker Koko Erwin
The Narcotics Crime Directorate (Dittipidnarkoba) of Bareskrim Polri disclosed allegations of involvement by inactive Bima City Police Chief AKBP Didik Putra Kuncoro in a narcotics possession case.
Brigadier General Pol. Eko Hadi Santoso, Director of the Narcotics Crime Directorate of Bareskrim Polri, revealed allegations of involvement by former Bima City Police Chief AKBP Didik Putra Kuncoro in receiving security money from drug trafficker Koko Erwin. According to Eko, the funds were allegedly channelled through the former Narcotics Chief of Bima City Police, AKP Malaungi.
“Essentially, the security money was provided by the Narcotics Chief (former Narcotics Chief of Bima City Police AKP Malaungi) to the Police Chief (AKBP Didik),” he stated in Jakarta on Friday (27/2).
He believed Didik was aware of the source of the money because it was conveyed through an official handling narcotics enforcement.
“What money would the Narcotics Chief give if not money from illicit drug circulation, right? Security costs for the Police Chief (Didik),” said Eko.
Bareskrim also revealed that Koko Erwin was a narcotics recidivist.
“He was previously a recidivist because Erwin was convicted (drug case) in 2018 in Makassar,” he stated.
Koko Erwin himself was arrested by the Narcotics Crime Directorate of Bareskrim Polri on Thursday (26/2) in Tanjung Balai, North Sumatra, whilst allegedly attempting to flee to Malaysia. The Head of the NIC Task Force of the Narcotics Crime Directorate, Kombes Pol. Kevin Leleury, stated that two other individuals were also secured for assisting the escape attempt.
“Perpetrator A alias Y was arrested in Riau whilst R alias K was arrested in Tanjung Balai together with Erwin,” he said.
The name Koko Erwin previously surfaced through the legal representative statement of AKP Malaungi, Asmuni, who stated that his client had revealed the involvement of several parties in a narcotics distribution case in the Bima region.
In the examination report, AKP Malaungi admitted to receiving 488 grammes of methamphetamine from Koko Erwin at Marina Inn Hotel, Bima City, in late 2025.
The methamphetamine handover was described as part of a follow-up to a bribe worth one billion rupiah provided by Koko Erwin to help fulfil his superior’s desire to own a latest Alphard vehicle worth 1.8 billion rupiah.
AKBP Didik Putra Kuncoro, who at that time served as Police Chief of Bima City, was mentioned in the examination as having welcomed the intention and allegedly arranged with AKP Malaungi so that Koko Erwin’s drug business could operate in the Bima City Police jurisdiction.
