AKBP Chandra Kesuma Receives Award for Tourist Service and Protection Transformation

Gianyar Police Chief AKBP Chandra Citra Kesuma received the Accelerator Figure award in the Service and Protection Transformation for Tourists category at the detikBali-Nusra Awards 2026. The award was presented at The Trans Resort Bali on Friday (3/7/2026). The accolade recognises the commitment of the Gianyar Police Chief in optimising services and protection for tourists, whilst strengthening security at leading tourist destinations in Gianyar Regency. Under the leadership of AKBP Chandra Citra Kesuma, the Gianyar Police have improved service quality through foreign language training for personnel. This initiative enables officers in the field to communicate more effectively with international tourists, resulting in faster, easier, and higher-quality police services. In addition to enhancing personnel capacity, the Gianyar Police have bolstered security by intensifying routine patrols at several priority tourist attractions. These include the Monkey Forest in Ubud, Tirta Empul Temple in Tampaksiring, Gunung Kawi Temple, and various other destinations popular with both domestic and international visitors. Police personnel have also actively promoted the 110 Police Call Centre service to tourists and tourism operators. This toll-free service is expected to make it easier for the public to report incidents or request police assistance quickly while in tourist areas. Through these efforts, the Gianyar Police have been deemed successful in delivering public services that are increasingly adaptive to the needs of the tourism sector, whilst strengthening the sense of security for tourists visiting Gianyar Regency.
