Akbar-Mega seems to be the best team

I am personally of the opinion that the best team to help
solve so many pending political and economic problems Indonesia
has been facing would be an Akbar-Mega team. Why? Because
Megawati Soekarnoputri, Indonesia's Vice President, concurrently
the chairperson of Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI
Perjuangan) was the winner of the general election in June 1999.
The runner up was Akbar Tandjung, speaker of the House of
Representatives concurrently chairman the Functional Group
(Golkar). To the best of my understanding, they have so far been
cooperating well in terms of solving a lot of the political and
economic problems faced by the nation. Good team work is what the
nation needs badly. Besides, they have the full support of all
the people of Indonesia whereas Abdurrahman "Gus Dur" Wahid had
nearly nothing in terms of the total votes in the general
election.

So, what are we the entire people of Indonesia waiting for?
Let us make every effort to appoint Megawati as president of this
republic to replace Gus Dur (hopefully, under the circumstances,
he will voluntarily step down from the presidency for good in due
course) and Akbar Tanjung as the vice president.
