Ajaib Group Secures Rp 4.78 Trillion Investment
Ajaib Group has become the startup with the largest investment in Indonesia in the last five years. The investment services provider is known to have received an investment of US$ 270 million, or approximately Rp 4.78 trillion (assuming an exchange rate of Rp 17,723), from the Japanese financial giant, SBI Holdings.
“This is the largest startup investment in the last five years, amounting to Rp 4.8 trillion or US$ 270 million, from a major group, SBI Holdings from Japan,” stated the President Commissioner of Ajaib Group, Andi Gani Nena Wea, during a press conference at the PT Ajaib Teknologi Indonesia office in Jakarta on Monday (31/8/2026).
Andi assessed that SBI Holdings’ investment in Ajaib Group addresses rumours suggesting that foreign investors are reluctant to commit capital to the Indonesian capital market. According to him, this also demonstrates the high level of investor interest in the Indonesian ecosystem.
Through this investment, Andi hopes that Ajaib Group can enhance its services for investors, particularly retail investors. This is because the majority of Ajaib’s users are retail investors located outside of major cities.
“The progress of fintech education has reached various cities spread across Indonesia. We will explain the technical data we possess later, but this represents a step forward. We hope that the influx of such a large investment into the startup investment sector will boost morale, especially amidst rumours of foreign investment fleeing Indonesian stock trading, as evidenced by the Rp 4.8 trillion entering Ajaib Group,” he explained.
Co-Founder and CEO of Ajaib Group, Anderson Sumarli, explained that the company’s total capital raised has now surpassed US$ 500 million, or approximately Rp 8.87 trillion.
