Airport toilets in poor condition
Airport toilets in poor condition
From Kompas
After traveling by air several times, I have noticed with
disappointment that the toilets at the departure and arrival
terminals of Jakarta's Sukarno-Hatta Airport are in poor
condition. Many of their wash basins and urinals are out of order
and produce an offensive smell, with long queues of people
waiting in turn, due to limited facilities.
Some time ago, the state minister of state enterprises
conducted an on the spot check at the sea port of Tanjung Priok
and found the toilets in the same condition. Following the
inspection, the toilets were improved. Should such maintenance at
the airport, which is the responsibility of Perum Angkasa Pura
airport management corporation, wait until the minister makes
another check?
With the recent declaration of the National Customer Day, it
is pitiful to witness the poor toilet facilities at the
international airport, where foreign tourists will complain about
the same thing. Now in the Public Service Promotion Month,
Angkasa Pura should act promptly to guarantee air passengers'
satisfaction and improve Indonesia's image.
