Airlangga to Announce WFH Regulations and Efficiency Measures Tomorrow

Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto is scheduled to announce the government’s steps in response to global geopolitical turbulence tomorrow, or Tuesday evening, 31 March 2026. These measures include arrangements for working from home or Work From Home (WFH), budget efficiency, and strengthening the B50 policy.

Secretary of the Coordinating Ministry for the Economy Susiwijono Moegiarso stated that the press conference will be held in a hybrid format. “Tomorrow evening directly from Seoul, South Korea. We are preparing the event in a hybrid manner,” he said when confirmed via a messaging application on Monday, 30 March 2026.

The risk mitigation policies will be announced directly by Airlangga along with several related ministers. Currently, Airlangga is accompanying President Prabowo Subianto on a working visit to Japan.

Airlangga held a coordination meeting with several economic ministers on 28 March 2026. In that meeting, Airlangga outlined a series of strategic government steps to address global geopolitical turbulence impacting energy stability.

The virtual meeting was a follow-up to President Prabowo’s directives on economic policy. “In this meeting, various strategic steps were discussed, ranging from adaptive Work From Home (WFH) arrangements, budget efficiency, strengthening the B50 policy, to proposals for national energy savings,” he wrote on his official Instagram account @airlanggahartarto_official on Friday, 28 March 2026.

In the post on his official Instagram account, Airlangga included a screenshot of several ministers involved in the online meeting. Among them were Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa, Manpower Minister Yassierli, State Secretary Minister Prasetyo Hadi, Home Affairs Minister Muhammad Tito Karnavian, Minister for State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform (Menpan-RB) Rini Widyantini, and President Director of PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (Persero) Darmawan Prasodjo.

According to Airlangga, all these steps will be comprehensively reviewed. Taking into account developments in the Middle East conflict and global uncertainties that impact energy stability, supply chains, and the national economy. The government ensures that each policy is implemented in a measured and responsive manner.
