Jakarta (ANTARA) – Co-ordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto reported that Indonesia’s macroeconomic conditions were relatively stable to President Prabowo Subianto during a limited meeting at Merdeka Palace in Jakarta on Monday.

“Today, the President called in the economic team, particularly to receive an update on the economic situation at the end of this year and in connection with the second anniversary of President Prabowo’s administration. We reported that macroeconomic conditions were relatively stable,” Airlangga said in a press statement after the meeting.

Airlangga said discussions covered economic growth, the inflation target, banking conditions and investment developments.

As well as reporting on macroeconomic conditions, Airlangga said the government would seek to increase exports across all sectors, including manufacturing.

He said obstacles that could hamper exports would be addressed by a task force assigned by President Prabowo.

“Anything that could reduce exports will be unblocked through the task force, which has been given this assignment by the President,” Airlangga said.

Airlangga was accompanied at the meeting by Deputy Finance Minister Suahasil Nazara, Bank Indonesia Governor Destry Damayanti and Financial Services Authority (OJK) Board of Commissioners Chair Friderica Widyasari Dewi.

Suahasil said the Finance Ministry had also reported on global economic developments and their impact on the domestic economy, including the implementation of the state budget (APBN) for the remainder of 2026.

He said the global economy remained volatile, partly due to developments in the United States and Europe.

Nevertheless, Suahasil said Indonesia’s macroeconomic conditions and transactions among the public remained resilient.

“We reported to the President that Indonesia’s macroeconomy remains highly resilient. Transactions among the public are also still highly resilient. We will continue to maintain stability while supporting growth,” Suahasil said.

He added that the Finance Ministry would continue reviewing spending and improving budget efficiency in implementing the state budget through the end of the year.
