Airlangga Leads Economic Growth Task Force Formed by Prabowo

President Prabowo Subianto has formed the Task Force for Accelerating Government Programmes to Support Economic Growth Enhancement. The establishment of this task force is stipulated in Presidential Decree No. 4 of 2026, signed by Prabowo on 11 March 2026.

The task force operates under and is directly accountable to President Prabowo. “In order to accelerate the implementation of government programmes, the Task Force for Accelerating Government Programmes to Support Economic Growth Enhancement, hereinafter referred to as the Task Force, is hereby established,” states Article 1 of Presidential Decree 4/2026.

The task force is led by two chairs: Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto as Chair I and State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi as Chair II.

Meanwhile, the position of Deputy Chair I is filled by Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa, Deputy Chair II by Minister of Investment and Downstreaming Rosan Perkasa Roeslani, and Deputy Chair III by Minister of National Development Planning/Head of the National Development Planning Agency Rachmat Pambudy.

The task force members consist of 27 ministers and agency heads. Among them are Interior Minister Muhammad Tito Karnavian, Manpower Minister Yassierli, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia, Agriculture Minister Amran Sulaiman, Head of the National Nutrition Agency Dadan Hindayana, and Indonesian National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo.

Prabowo has mandated the task force to coordinate the acceleration of government programme implementation to support economic growth enhancement. These programmes include economic packages, economic stimulus programmes, government priority programmes, main programmes in several ministries/agencies, and other programmes based on the President’s directives.

In addition, the task force is to establish integrated and collaborative strategic steps for accelerating government programme implementation to support economic growth enhancement. It is also tasked with monitoring and evaluating the realisation of budgets supporting government programme implementation to support economic growth enhancement.

Furthermore, the task force is responsible for determining breakthrough steps to resolve strategic issues quickly and accurately. The task force will also carry out other tasks assigned by the President.
