Airlangga Confirms PT DSI to Be Fully Operational by 1 January 2027

Jakarta - Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto has confirmed that the Daya Anagata Nusantara Investment Management Agency (BPI Danantara) is targeted to be fully operational by 1 January 2027. Airlangga made this statement following a meeting of Danantara’s Supervisory Board at Wisma Danantara, Jakarta, last Monday (15/6/2026). “It was also reported regarding DSI. DSI was also a topic of discussion because it is expected to be fully operational by 1 January 2027,” Airlangga said after the meeting, as quoted on Wednesday (17/6/2026). On this occasion, Airlangga revealed that the Danantara Supervisory Board meeting did not discuss the addition of new commodities to be managed by DSI. He stated that DSI’s current focus is on maturing the existing structure. The matter of adding commodity sectors is the authority of the central government. “That is Danantara’s task, namely its DSI, while the addition (of commodities) will come from the government sector,” Airlangga said. Previously, Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the Investment Management Agency (BPI) Danantara, Dony Oskaria, confirmed that PT DSI will become the sole intermediary for the export of three commodities: coal, palm oil, and ferro alloys. This follows the issuance of Government Regulation (PP) Number 24 of 2026 on the Governance of Strategic Natural Resource Commodity Exports by President Prabowo Subianto. The regulation was officially signed on 20 May 2026. Following the issuance of the regulation, Dony explained that for the period from June to 31 December, DSI will operate as the sole export intermediary. “Firstly, for the period from June to 31 December, DSI will operate as the Sole Intermediary, and this is mandated in the PP. Our task is to ensure that no underinvoicing or transfer pricing occurs in the export of our natural resources. We will do this transparently and accountably,” Dony stated.
