Jakarta (ANTARA) - Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto has assured that the government will soon announce the work-from-home (WFH) policy before the end of March. “It will be announced (the WFH policy) before the end of the month (March),” said Airlangga when met at his office in Jakarta on Friday. The policy is initiated as a step to curb fuel oil (BBM) consumption amid pressures from global energy prices. Previously, Airlangga explained that the WFH scheme is planned to apply for one day per week to civil servants (ASN), including Civil Servants (PNS) and Government Employees with Work Agreements (PPPK). Meanwhile, for the private sector, the policy will be in the form of a recommendation. “Around this week,” he said. The government has decided to implement the WFH policy for one day per week, namely every Friday. This step is prepared as a response to the rise in world oil prices triggered by tensions in the Middle East region. On the other hand, Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa stated that the decision regarding the WFH policy is final and will soon be announced by the government.
