Airlangga and Rosan to unveil the technical framework for Danantara Sumber Daya Indonesia tomorrow

REPUBLICA.CO.ID, JAKARTA — Danantara Indonesia’s Managing Director of Stakeholders Management & Communications, Rohan Hafas, said the government will announce a detailed scheme for Danantara Sumber Daya Indonesia (DSI). He added that the detailed material on the DSI’s operating model will be presented by Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto and Danantara Indonesia CEO Rosan Roeslani on Thursday (21 May 2026).

‘The flow, the supply chain, the exports, the fees and so on — that portion will be the responsibility of Pak Menko and Pak Rosan as well,’ Rohan said during a media briefing on strengthening governance of exporting strategic commodities at Wisma Danantara, Jakarta, Wednesday (20 May 2026).

Rohan said DSI is no different from other companies that facilitate the buying and selling of strategic commodities. The difference, he continued, is that DSI will do it more transparently and remove various practices of under invoicing and under pricing.

‘What makes DSI different from the company that currently exports directly overseas? They engage in under invoicing, so after decades of trading they can sell, can buy, can profit, more or less. It’s just they under invoice and park it abroad. We will be transparent,’ ucap Rohan.

Rohan refused to disclose the individuals who will head the new entity. He insisted the leaders of DSI must be people with strong competence.

‘Later, because we also have to recruit good people. There is a pipeline, it exists, and will be announced soon. The leadership, later, there must still be discussions with each candidate,’ he said.
