Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, Airlangga Hartarto, stated that the allocation of technical ministries that will fall under the coordination of the Coordinating Ministry for Downstreaming and Energy Transition is still under government discussion.

Airlangga noted that this division will be formalised through technical teams as well as the organisational structure and working procedures (SOTK) of the new coordinating ministry.

“There will be a technical team for the SOTK later,” Airlangga said at the Presidential Palace Complex, Jakarta, on Friday.

Regarding which technical ministries will be transferred or placed under the coordination of the Coordinating Ministry for Downstreaming and Energy Transition, Airlangga mentioned that the matter is still being discussed by the Ministry of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform (PANRB).

“It is still under discussion at the Ministry of PANRB,” he added.

Previously, President Prabowo Subianto inaugurated Bahlil Lahadalia as the Coordinating Minister for Downstreaming and Energy Transition as part of the government’s efforts to reorganise coordination in the fields of downstreaming and energy transition.

Bahlil stated that he would carry out his duties effectively in his dual roles, particularly to achieve downstreaming and energy transition, which are key components of President Prabowo’s ‘Asta Cita’ programme.

He expressed that the new ministry would serve as a coordinator for relevant ministries and agencies, including the Ministry of Investment and Downstreaming, to reach these targets.

Regarding which ministries or agencies will fall under the Coordinating Ministry for Downstreaming and Energy Transition, Bahlil said they are currently awaiting a presidential regulation concerning the formation of the coordinating ministry.
