Airfares are rising as jet fuel costs climb, beginning to affect people’s willingness to travel. The rise is being driven by geopolitical conflict in the Middle East, which has also pushed global oil prices higher.
In response, several online travel agents (OTAs) have begun devising strategies to sustain interest in travel, both domestically and internationally. Traveloka has introduced a range of promotions and discount codes to help customers continue to holiday despite higher travel costs.

RWS is an integrated resort in Singapore that houses Universal Studios Singapore, Singapore Oceanarium, Dolphin Island, and Adventure Cove Waterpark.
Through the collaboration, Traveloka and RWS offer a range of exclusive deals, from integrated travel packages that include flights, hotels, attractions, dining, and entertainment on a single platform. Both parties also provide more personalised travel recommendations based on users’ preferences and needs.
Universal Studios Singapore and Singapore Oceanarium within the RWS complex have been among the two attractions in Singapore most sought after by Traveloka users this year. Additionally, the search volume for RWS attractions in February 2026 doubled versus the same period a year earlier. According to Baidi Li, the increase demonstrates travellers’ strong interest in nearby getaways that combine recreation, entertainment, and family activities at a single destination.
