Aircraft fuel depot opens
JAKARTA (JP): The governor of West Nusa Tenggara, Warsito, on Saturday officially dedicated an airplane refueling station at Selaparang airport in Mataram, considered to be the most modern one in the country.
The station, which was constructed by the state-owned oil company Pertamina, comprises four ground-tanks with a total capacity of 100,000 liters, sufficient for 40 days of sales. It receives propellant supplies from Pertamina's depot in Ampenan, the Antara news agency reported.
The station was constructed with an investment of Rp 1.3 billion (US$604,932) on an 11,701 square meter plot.
Warsito said that the station will enhance tourist arrivals in his province, which expects 500,000 visitors within the sixth Five-year Development Plan (Repelita VI) period. (icn)
