Aira EV Becomes Backbone of Wuling Sales at GIIAS 2026

Wuling Motors recorded 3,290 vehicle order forms during the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show 2026, with the Aira EV serving as its mainstay.

Of the total 3,290 orders, the Aira EV contributed 2,238 units, or around 68 percent. That contribution consisted of 165 units of the Standard Range variant and 2,073 units of the Long Range.

“The achievement we recorded shows a positive consumer response to the vehicle line-up we presented, particularly the Aira EV, which was officially introduced at this exhibition. We hope the presence of the Aira EV can further provide electric mobility options that suit the needs of the Indonesian public,” said Wuling Motors Sales Director Kharismawan Awangga in an official statement on Monday.

Not only in terms of orders, the Aira EV was also the model most tested by visitors. Of Wuling’s total 2,203 test drive activities, 1,648 tests were carried out on the Aira EV.

That figure far exceeded the Darion EV, which recorded 242 test drives, and the Eksion EV with 156. Meanwhile, the Eksion PHEV and Darion PHEV recorded 95 and 62 tests respectively.

As a result, the Aira EV accounted for around 75 percent of all Wuling test drive activity during GIIAS 2026.

The high figure shows that interest in the Aira EV is reflected not only in orders, but also in visitors’ interest in trying the vehicle directly.

Overall, Wuling’s performance at GIIAS 2026 shows a shift in consumer attention towards electrified vehicles.

Of the total orders secured, most came from three electric models, with the Aira EV as the main contributor.

GIIAS 2026 also served as an important moment for Wuling to officially introduce the Aira EV to the Indonesian market.

The model is offered in two options, with a range of up to 205 kilometres for the Standard Range and 301 kilometres for the Long Range based on CLTC testing.

Other models that also contributed to the order tally were the Darion EV with 517 units and the Eksion EV with 179 units.
