Air raid sirens sound in Bahrain as explosions reported
Air raid sirens have sounded in Bahrain, with the government urging citizens to use only main roads if absolutely necessary, according to a statement from Bahrain’s Interior Ministry. The ministry also reported that several explosions were heard.
“Air raid sirens have sounded. We advise citizens and residents to use only main roads in cases of absolute emergency,” the ministry stated on Saturday.
In a similar report, Al Arabiya television station confirmed that several explosions were heard in Bahrain.
Israel has launched attacks against Iran, with a state of emergency declared across the country, according to the Israeli Defence Authority on Saturday. “Israel has conducted strikes against Iran to eliminate threats to the country,” said the Israeli Defence Authority in a press statement.
The authority added that Israel anticipates retaliatory attacks using missiles and drones. “In accordance with its authority and in accordance with the Civil Defence Law, the Head of the Israeli Defence Authority Katz has signed a special order declaring a state of emergency throughout Israel,” the statement said.
