Air France, Garuda deal
JAKARTA (JP): Air France and national carrier Garuda Indonesia airlines have signed a cargo cooperation agreement.
The agreement was signed yesterday at Paris' Le Bourget Airport in France.
Air France's regional general manager Christian Herpin said yesterday the weekly cargo service would use a Boeing 747-200 F, which would arrive in Jakarta and leave for Paris every Wednesday morning.
The freighter could carry about 100 tons of cargo, or 38 pallets and large shipments such as trucks, Herpin said.
From Indonesia, Air France and Garuda will carry export commodities including clothing and textile products, toys, leather products, live aquarium fish, handicrafts, cameras, electronics, machinery and spare parts.
The aircraft would carry industrial equipment, spare parts, food stuffs and general goods from France, he said. (das)
