Air France adds flights
JAKARTA (JP): Air France will increase its flights between Paris and Jakarta from four times a week to five beginning June 18, the airline said yesterday.
The airline's regional manager, Christian Herpin, said the airline was increasing its flights because the number of passengers traveling between Indonesian and France had risen 10 percent.
Air France carried around 17,000 passengers from Paris to Jakarta and 18,000 passengers from Jakarta to Paris last year.
The company managed to post its first profit in six years -- at 394 million French francs (US$67.64 million) in the fiscal year ended on March 30.
Herpin said the company's revenue increased by 8.3 percent to 42.7 billion francs in 1997. (13)
