Air Force Chief reshuffles senior officials, replacing four assistants

Jakarta (ANTARA) – Indonesian Air Force Chief of Staff Marshal Mohamad Tonny Harjono has led the replacement of 11 senior officials, including four assistant chiefs and the head of the Air Force Information Service.

According to an official Indonesian Air Force press release received in Jakarta on Tuesday, the handover ceremony took place at Air Force Headquarters in Cilangkap, East Jakarta, on Monday (12 October).

“The changes are expected to support ongoing personnel development and strengthen the organisation, enabling the Indonesian Air Force to build an adaptive, professional and excellent workforce,” Tonny said in the release.

The four assistant posts affected were the Assistant for Planning and Budgeting, the Assistant for Operations, the Assistant for Personnel, and the Assistant for Territorial Affairs.

Marshal Ian Fuady handed over the post of Assistant for Planning and Budgeting to Marshal Yostariza, while Marshal Suliono handed over the Assistant for Operations post to Marshal Jorry S. Koloay.

Marshal Djoko Hadipurwanto replaced Marshal Yostariza as Assistant for Personnel, while Marshal Bambang Gunarto replaced Marshal Palito Sitorus as Assistant for Territorial Affairs.

Air Marshal Feri Yunaldi replaced Air Marshal I Nyoman Suadnyana as head of the Air Force Information Service.

The post of head of the Air Force Health Centre was handed over by Air Marshal Dr M. Roikhan Harowi to Air Marshal Dr Margono Gatot S.

Air Marshal David Yohan Tamboto replaced Air Marshal Hendrayansyah as head of the Air Force Personnel Administration Service.

Air Marshal (W) Theresia Soepi S. handed over the post of head of the Air Force Psychology Service to Air Marshal Heri Kris Drihandaka.

The post of head of the Indonesian Air Force Material Supply Centre was handed over by Air Marshal Edi Siswoyo to Air Marshal R. Mochamad Rosydi.

Air Marshal Achmad Espandiari replaced Air Marshal R. Mochamad Rosydi as head of the Air Force Materiel Service.

At the Saryanto Aviation and Space Medicine Institute, Colonel Dr Djarot S. replaced Air Marshal Dr Imam Muslim as head.

On the same occasion, Tonny also handed the post of head of the Air Force Finance Service to Colonel Agus Susetyo Wiyono.

Tonny said he hoped the appointments would strengthen the organisation and enhance the professionalism of Air Force personnel in carrying out their duty to defend Indonesia’s airspace.
