Air Force Brigadier General Muzafar Appointed as Commander of Regional Defence Command II
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Air Force Brigadier General Muzafar has received a promotion to Commander of the Regional Defence Command (Pangkogabwilhan) II. The two-star Air Force general officer previously served as Commander of the Air Force Regional Command (Pangkodau) I. This rotation of positions in the Air Force branch of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) was announced by Commander of the National Air Operations Command (Pangkoopsudnas) Air Vice Marshal Minggit Triwibowo. The position of Pangkodau I is now filled by Air Commodore Erwin Sugiandi, who was inaugurated by Minggit on Saturday. In his address, Minggit assessed that Muzafar successfully led Kodau I and carried out various missions, including humanitarian operations and support for national sovereignty on land and sea. “For the hard work and best dedication that has been given, I convey my highest thanks and appreciation,” Minggit stated. To Erwin, Minggit extended congratulations on the trust given by the Air Force leadership to lead Kodau I. He emphasised that the position is not merely an honour but an mandate with great responsibility. “The Marshal can also bring innovation and new breakthroughs to improve the performance of Kodau I sustainably,” he concluded.
