Air-con use jumps
BONN: You almost can't sell a car without air-conditioning in Indonesia, but until recently, the situation has been the reverse in Europe.
However, Europeans are now embracing the benefits of air-conditioning. In 1990, only 12.7 percent of European cars were fitted with cool air, now however, the figure is 40 percent and it is tipped to rise to 65 percent by 2002.
