Aiming for ALI 2026, Sachrudin: Strengthening Investment Services
Investment services in Tangerang City have once again gained national recognition. The Tangerang City Government has been included in the ranks of city governments receiving appreciation at the 2026 Investment Service Awards (ALI), following its performance in licensing services and the acceleration of business implementation.
This appreciation was presented in the City Government category for the Performance Assessment of Integrated One-Stop Services (PTSP) and the Acceleration of Business Implementation (PPB), organised by the Ministry of Investment and Downstreaming/Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM).
The Mayor of Tangerang, H. Sachrudin, personally received the certificate of appreciation from the Deputy Minister of Investment and Downstreaming/Deputy Head of BKPM, Todotua Pasaribu, at the ALI 2026 event held at the Nusantara Auditorium, Ministry of Investment and Downstreaming/BKPM Office, Jakarta, on Wednesday (16/09/2026).
For Sachrudin, this appreciation is more than just an award; it serves as a drive to continue perfecting investment services in Tangerang City. He noted that ease of doing business must go hand-in-hand with service certainty and government innovation to meet the needs of the business world.
“Today, the Tangerang City Government received appreciation from the Ministry of Investment and Downscale after undergoing a long selection process involving 93 cities across Indonesia. This serves as motivation for us to continue creating a conducive investment climate through service improvements and various innovations. My thanks go to the DPMPTSP team. Let us build the city together!” said Sachrudin.
He also emphasised that investment is not merely about the amount of capital entering a region. Behind investment, there are moving economic activities, growing businesses, and job opportunities opening up for the community.
Therefore, the Tangerang City Government continues to encourage licensing services that are faster, easier, certain, transparent, professional, and friendly. Various innovations are also being developed to ensure the business process becomes simpler while providing certainty for business actors.
“The hope is that as it becomes easier for people to do business, more economic activities will grow. Ultimately, the benefits can be felt by the community through the creation of jobs and increased economic activity in Tangerang City,” Sachrudin continued.
Meanwhile, the Minister of Investment and Downstreaming/Head of BKPM, Rosan P. Roeslani, also emphasised the importance of the local government’s role in building an investment climate. He noted that growing investment will have a broader impact on job creation.
“You have helped improve the investment climate to the point of being able to attract both domestic and foreign investors. Ultimately, investment must culminate in the creation of quality jobs. This is our collective task, especially since around two million babies are born in Indonesia every year. Therefore, investment is one way to open up more employment opportunities,” said Rosan.
The ALI itself is both an appreciation and an evaluation of the performance of PTSP and the Acceleration of Business Implementation to encourage effective, easy, and standardised licensing services.
For Tangerang City, this appreciation serves as a catalyst to continue providing easy and certain investment services, ensuring a more conducive business climate, a moving economy, and that the benefits of investment are felt more widely by the community.
