AIDS march in Karawang

JAKARTA (JP): In conjunction with World AIDS Day on Dec. 1,
the Pelita Ilmu Foundation will hold a march for AIDS concern in
Karawang, West Java, on Sunday.

The foundation's program manager, Husein Habsyi, said the
marchers would distribute leaflets, brochures and pamphlets along
the streets of Karawang.

The march will start from the foundation post in Tempuran
district at 9:30 a.m.

Husein said the foundation's post in Karawang opened in 1996
with activities including training local young people in
providing information about the disease, helping people living
with AIDS and cooperating with public health care centers in
holding activities related to AIDS care.
