Aid flights for Aceh

The disaster which struck Aceh on Dec. 2004 is so tragic, but now it's time for everyone, including our neighboring countries to help.

In a report on TV, it was said that aid is stuck in Medan, North Sumatra, because of limitations on the size of the airport and facilities there. I'm not sure if the bottleneck is Medan or if it's the airport at Aceh, but if it is Medan, then other nearby airports should offer their facilities.

In particular, I'm thinking of the huge unused airport at Subang, Malaysia, which is only another 50 minutes flying time compared with Medan and I'm sure it has spare warehouse capacity. Also, even Penang airport could also provide some assistance. I just wonder if the Malaysian government has offered landing facilities for such mercy flights.
