The South Tangerang City Government (Tangsel) will launch Tangsel ONE (Tangerang Selatan One System), an artificial intelligence (AI)-based platform, on 30 April 2026. This centralised integrated service platform employs chat-first AI technology to streamline bureaucracy and enable residents to access public services simply through WhatsApp conversations.

The Head of the Communication and Informatics Department (Diskominfo) of Tangsel City, TB Asep Nurdin, explained that this innovation is designed to create a more responsive and transparent government system. Through agentic AI technology, the public can now manage permits and submit complaints without complicated physical contact processes.

“Tangsel ONE was born to address the challenges of fast and efficient information access. This is a concrete step towards a humane smart city, where technology is used to make residents’ lives easier,” said Asep in his statement on Tuesday (24/4/2026).

Not limited to bureaucratic matters, Tangsel ONE is also positioned as a city assistant that provides digital lifestyle guidance. Residents and newcomers can search for recommendations on tourist destinations and explore popular local culinary spots in South Tangerang through the same chat interface.

Asep emphasised that this AI system operates proactively around the clock with a friendly yet professional tone.

“We position Tangsel ONE as a chat companion ready to help at any time. The goal is to eliminate information barriers and discrimination in permit services, as this system guarantees service objectivity,” he added.

The public can start enjoying this service officially at the end of April. To access it, residents simply need to scan the QR code that will be distributed across various official government information channels and billboards in city corners.

After scanning, residents will be directed straight to the official Tangsel ONE WhatsApp number. The grand vision of this platform is to integrate thousands of city services into the ‘One Access’ and ‘One Data’ foundation.

“In line with our tagline, ‘One Access, One Data, One Tangsel’, through the #StartFromChat campaign, all matters in South Tangerang City now become easier and connected in one trusted solution portal,” Asep concluded.
