AI-powered 3 Tesla MRI helps make diagnoses more precise
Jakarta (ANTARA) – Dr. Thio Ananda Steven, a Radiology Specialist at Bethsaida Hospital Gading Serpong, said that the use of AI-based 3 Tesla MRI enables medical imaging results to be obtained with greater detail and with more efficient examination times to support the evaluation of various medical conditions in neurology, cardiology and vascular diseases, as well as orthopaedics. ‘This helps us conduct evaluations more precisely, while supporting clinicians in determining the most appropriate treatment steps for patients,’ he said in a statement on Thursday. Bethsaida Hospital Gading Serpong has introduced AI-based 3 Tesla (3T) MRI scanning technology to support diagnosis in complex medical cases such as stroke, brain tumours, cardiac disorders and orthopaedics. In addition, the technology can also be used to evaluate the structure and function of the heart, myocardial disorders, valve abnormalities, and post‑cardiac events. In orthopaedics, 3 Tesla MRI is used to view joints, ligaments, tendons, muscles, cartilage, and to support examinations of sports injuries, shoulder pain, knee pain, and back pain. According to him, the device is equipped with AI technology through AIR Recon DL and Sonic DL which can enhance the quality of medical imaging while also accelerating the examination process. ‘We continue strengthening medical facilities through the use of the latest diagnostic technologies that support accuracy, speed, and patient safety,’ said Margareth. She added that the AI technology on the device can also produce images with a higher level of sharpness to assist medical personnel in the process of diagnosis and determining patient therapy.
