AI Investment in Indonesia Continues Despite Weakening Rupiah
PT Lintasarta has confirmed it will continue investing in artificial intelligence (AI) technology in Indonesia, even as the rupiah has weakened against the US dollar recently. President Director & CEO of Lintasarta, Armand Hermawan, explained that the company had already invested in Nvidia GPUs since 2025, components that also present a challenge within the AI industry. Moving forward, however, Armand acknowledged that Lintasarta will not make large-scale investments without careful calculation, as it will only provide services demanded by users. “With the investment already made in 2025, we still have capacity to offer to customers. We also remain active in sharing infrastructure if anyone needs it,” he said during a media gathering in Jakarta on Tuesday (9/6/2026). He assessed that the weakening rupiah may not necessarily cause Lintasarta’s customers to halt their technology spending for business needs, though he did not rule out the possibility that they might need to adjust the scope of their business projects. Armand then confirmed that AI-based technology investments will proceed according to customer, industry, and regulatory needs. “Our investments will be made carefully and in relation to customer needs, industry needs, and also regulatory needs,” Armand stated. To meet customer needs in Indonesia, Lintasarta introduced its Intelligent Core service. This is a strategic foundation integrating the company’s four main capabilities—Connectivity, Cloud, Cybersecurity, and Collaboration-AI (termed 4C capability)—into a single end-to-end digital solution designed to significantly enhance Customer Experience. Armand noted that this foundation is built on three main principles: Sovereign, through sovereign infrastructure and sovereign AI; Integrated, via one end-to-end solution unifying the 4Cs; and Seamless Experience, delivering an integrated, reliable, and efficient digital experience for customers. “In the AI era, companies need a foundation capable of connecting technology into real business outcomes. Through this Intelligent Core, we help customers integrate digital infrastructure and AI into a single digital solution that is secure, reliable, and interconnected, allowing them to focus more on innovation, growth, and business competitiveness,” he stated. Lintasarta provides various solutions tailored to industry needs, including Secure Banking Stack for the financial sector, Sovereign Government Stack for the government sector, Smart Factory Stack for manufacturing, Connected Healthcare for health services, and Omnichannel Retail for the retail sector. Each solution is designed to help organisations accelerate digital and AI transformation, improve operational efficiency, strengthen reliability and security, and create sustainable business value. Currently, Lintasarta serves more than 2,300 corporate customers with 74,196 networks across various industrial sectors throughout Indonesia, a base that makes the integration of the 4Cs in one digital architecture a genuine advantage rather than just a concept.
