AI-Based GoRujuk Launched, UNM Drives Revolution in Hospital Services
REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, BANDUNG - Universitas Nusa Mandiri (UNM), as a Digital Business Campus, reaffirms its commitment to research and innovation development through the implementation of an AI-based Intelligent Patient Flow system via “GoRujuk”. This innovation is presented through a strategic collaboration with Rumah Sakit Advent Bandung and PT Inovasi Solusi Medis.
UNM’s involvement, particularly through its Informatics Study Programme (S3), serves as the main pillar in developing technology that integrates artificial intelligence to improve efficiency and the quality of healthcare services in Indonesia.
UNM Rector, Dwiza Riana, emphasised that the implementation of GoRujuk represents a tangible form of research downstreaming into the industrial world.
“Universitas Nusa Mandiri through the Informatics Study Programme (S3) plays an active role in ensuring that this AI-based system has a strong scientific foundation, is adaptive to industry needs, and can provide real impact for society,” she stated in a press release received on Thursday (16/4/2026).
The GoRujuk system is designed as a comprehensive solution to address various operational challenges in hospitals, particularly in patient flow management. Supported by AI technology, the system offers standout features such as pre-hospital patient assessment, digital service navigation, and real-time queue management.
The development of this technology is the result of advanced research in AI, machine learning, and computer vision, which are the focus of studies in the academic environment of UNM’s Informatics Study Programme (S3).
Director of Rumah Sakit Advent Bandung, Dr Roy David Sarumpaet, welcomed the implementation of the system as a strategic step in improving patient service quality.
“The utilisation of AI in GoRujuk enables the transformation of services towards an Intelligent Care Experience, which not only enhances operational efficiency but also patient comfort and safety,” he said.
This collaboration reflects the triple helix synergy between academia, industry, and healthcare practitioners in creating applicable and sustainable technological innovations. PT Inovasi Solusi Medis, as the industry partner, ensures optimal implementation according to field needs.
Through this innovation, Prof Dwiza conveyed that UNM is further strengthening its position as a Digital Business Campus that excels not only in education but also contributes substantively to delivering digital solutions in national strategic sectors.
“UNM through the Informatics Study Programme (S3) will continue to drive applied research development and expand cross-sector collaborations to support digital transformation in Indonesia, particularly in the healthcare services sector,” said Dwiza.
