AHY Visits Site of Train Collision in East Bekasi

Bekasi, CNBC Indonesia - Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development, Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY), inspected the site of the train accident at Bekasi Timur Station. Based on observations by CNBC Indonesia on Tuesday (28/4/2026), AHY arrived at Bekasi Timur Station around 1:30 PM WIB. Upon arrival, AHY entered the station staff room to coordinate with PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) or KAI executives. He then checked the ongoing evacuation process for the KRL wreckage. AHY also expressed condolences for the accident, stating that KAI personnel were continuing efforts to evacuate the KRL wreckage and normalise the Bekasi-Cikarang line. “As the Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development, we all certainly mourn the train accident incident last night; we, together with KAI, are striving to normalise this line,” said AHY at Bekasi Timur Station on Tuesday (28/4/2026). In addition to checking the evacuation conditions at Bekasi Timur Station, AHY also inspected the location of an illegal crossing from atop Bekasi Timur Station.
