AHY to Embark on Political Safari to All Parties as Part of Democrat Anniversary

Democratic Party Chairman Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) has announced he will undertake a political safari to meet with a number of figures and leaders of political parties at both the central and regional levels. AHY stated that the political safari, named ‘Silaturahmi 360’, is part of the series of events commemorating the 25th anniversary of the Democratic Party, which falls on 9 September 2026. He explained that this is also an effort by the Democratic Party to establish communication, synergy, and collaboration in all directions and with various layers of society without regard to boundaries. “We want to build good 360-degree relationships with various figures, including political party leaders at the central and regional levels,” AHY said in his speech at the Kick Off of the 25th Democratic Party Anniversary series in Jakarta on Wednesday (8/7). AHY stated that the Democrats wish to always be friends with all figures and existing political parties. He stressed that various political dynamics must end when there is a shared desire to advance the nation. On the same occasion, he also reminded all Democratic Party cadres to maintain a strong fighting spirit. He said every cadre must have a major goal in fighting for the party’s ideals while making a real contribution to Indonesia. “Democrats want to be friends with everyone. Politics is politics. Competition must end when we all want to advance this nation,” he said.
