AHY Pushes for Green Corridor on Yogyakarta-Solo Toll Road
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Coordinating Minister (Menko) for Infrastructure and Regional Development Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) is pushing for the application of the green corridor concept on the Prambanan-Purwomartani Toll Road, which forms part of the Yogyakarta-Solo Toll Road.
This was conveyed during AHY’s working visit to the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY) on Friday (24/04/2026), to review several strategic programmes while ensuring that development is on target and equitable.
In addition to inspecting the toll road construction, AHY also directly observed the implementation of the Green and Blue Open Space (RTHB) programme through tree-planting activities along the toll road.
Special Staff to the Coordinating Minister for Communication and Public Information Herzaky Mahendra Putra stated that the working visit aims to ensure that programme implementation proceeds according to plan and aligns with President Prabowo Subianto’s Asta Cita.
“This working visit is part of the government’s strategic steps to ensure that development is not only focused on large-scale infrastructure projects but also touches on fundamental aspects such as education, the quality of people’s settlements, and public welfare,” said Herzaky, quoted on Friday (24/04/2026).
During the visit, AHY also reviewed the construction of Sekolah Rakyat in Kulon Progo, which is one of the national priority programmes to eradicate poverty through education.
The programme is intended to open access to learning for underprivileged communities, provide a decent educational environment, and build superior human resources towards Golden Indonesia 2045.
According to Herzaky, strengthening educational infrastructure is an important foundation so that every Indonesian child has an equal opportunity to improve their standard of living.
In addition, AHY reviewed the arrangement of settlement areas in Mrican, Sleman, as well as Kampung Lampion in Kotabaru.
The programme is directed at improving the quality of people’s housing, enhancing the environment, and creating healthier and more productive areas.
Meanwhile, based on data from PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk as of 15 April 2026, the construction progress of that segment has reached 94.8 per cent.
Jasa Marga also plans to build access to the Purwomartani Toll Gate Exit spanning approximately 1.95 kilometres leading to the Bokoharjo area.
Jasa Marga President Director Rivan A. Purwantono stated that the construction of this access is a follow-up to discussions on accelerating the project, targeted to support operations during Christmas and New Year (Nataru) 2026/2027 as well as Eid 2027.
