Ahmad Luthfi Calls on Central Java to Strengthen Unity in Support of Development
The message was delivered by Ahmad Luthfi while attending Harmony of Java 2026 in commemoration of the 81st Anniversary of Central Java Province. The event was held at the Central Java Recreation and Development Promotion Centre (PRPP) on Saturday evening (22/8/2026).
He said that the development of Central Java must be carried out with a spirit of gotong royong and togetherness. He believes that all elements of society have an important role in driving regional progress.
“Building Central Java Province must be based on the principle of togetherness. Central Java’s progress does not come solely from the governor, regent, or mayor, but from all components of society working shoulder to shoulder as one,” he said in a written statement on Sunday (23/8/2026).
According to him, this spirit is in line with the theme of Central Java’s 81st Anniversary, ‘Wolung Puluh Siji, Gumregut Nyawiji’. The theme reflects the determination of the people of Central Java to unite and move together in developing the region.
“My message is that on this 81st anniversary, let us strengthen unity and integrity. Let us set aside sectoral egos,” he explained.
In the momentum of the 81st Anniversary, Central Java also recorded a number of development achievements. Central Java’s economic growth in the first half of 2026 reached 5.80 percent, while the poverty rate fell from 9.48 percent to 9.21 percent.
The decline was recorded as having an impact on around 3.37 million people who have experienced improved economic conditions and escaped poverty. This achievement is part of the collective effort to build the welfare of the people of Central Java.
On the occasion, Ahmad Luthfi also invited the public to pray for fellow citizens in various regions who are facing natural disasters. Some of the affected areas include East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), Kalimantan, Aceh, and other regions.
“Tonight we pray for our brothers and sisters who have been struck by disaster. May they be strengthened, may they be blessed, and may they recover soon,” he said.
In addition to being a moment of reflection on regional development, Harmony of Java 2026 also provided entertainment for the public. The event was enlivened by KLa Project, Pertelon Koplo, and Good Morning Everyone (GME), as well as a performance by Saleho on Saturday afternoon.
During his performance, KLa Project vocalist Katon Bagaskara also conveyed a message of concern for communities affected by disasters. He invited the public to continue maintaining the spirit of togetherness and care.
“Thank you for inviting us to perform here. Let us celebrate Indonesia together. May we all prosper and be filled with love. May our brothers and sisters in NTT soon receive the assistance they need,” he said.
Through the commemoration of Central Java’s 81st Anniversary, Ahmad Luthfi hopes that the spirit of unity and gotong royong will continue to be the strength of the community in facing various challenges. Collaboration among all parties is considered key to realising sustainable regional development.
