Ahmad Dhani hopes state address focuses on Article 33 of the 1945 Constitution

Jakarta (ANTARA) - House of Representatives Commission X member Ahmad Dhani hopes that the President’s state address at the MPR Annual Session can once again inspire the public and affirm the government’s commitment to implementing Article 33 of the 1945 Constitution.

“It will be the best state address at this annual session. Hopefully the speech will be as thunderous as last year’s. Hopefully the speech will inspire and stir as it did a year ago,” Dhani said ahead of the MPR Annual Session and the Joint Session of the DPR-DPD as well as the State Address by President Prabowo Subianto at the Parliament Complex, Jakarta, on Friday.

He stressed the importance of the government continuing to make Article 33 of the 1945 Constitution one of the foundations for carrying out national development.

“We focus on Article 33 (of the 1945 Constitution) which we must continue to work on,” he said.

Parliament is holding the 2026 MPR Annual Session and the Joint Session of the DPR-DPD at the Nusantara Building, Parliament Complex, Jakarta, on Friday (14/8).

In the series of events for the 2026 MPR Annual Session and the Joint Session of the DPR and DPD, President Prabowo Subianto will deliver a speech on the performance reports of state institutions and a state address in commemoration of the 81st Anniversary of Indonesian Independence.

The 2025 Annual Session and Joint Session of the DPR and DPD are being held ahead of the 81st Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia, which carries the theme “A Sovereign, Just, and Prosperous Indonesia”.
