Ahmad Bahar's daughter reports GRIB Hercules to police over alleged detention
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The daughter of writer Ahmad Bahar, ISF (33), reported GRIB Jaya’s General Chairman Rosario de Marshall, alias Hercules, to Polda Metro Jaya on Friday, 22 May 2026. ISF reported Hercules for alleged detention of herself at the GRIB Jaya Headquarters, Kedoya, West Jakarta, on Sunday, 17 May 2026.
‘We know there was a house siege, then kidnapping, detention, then verbal threats, verbal violence, then the use of firearms, and belittling our client, which was allegedly carried out by a group of people claiming to be part of the GRIB mass organisation, and also allegedly carried out by the general chairman, in this case Mr Hercules,’ said ISF’s legal representative, Gufroni, at Polda Metro Jaya, on Friday.
In fact, ISF’s WhatsApp account had been hacked until a message containing threats was sent to Hercules and his wife.
‘There, at the GRIB Jaya Headquarters, ISF was interrogated, forced to admit that Ms ISF who sent the message to Hercules and his wife containing threats via her WhatsApp,’ he added.
The report was registered under LP/B/3678/2026/SPKT/POLDA METRO JAYA.
In the report, Hercules is accused under Article 446 of the Criminal Code on Deprivation of Liberty in conjunction with Article 451 on Kidnapping.
Additionally, ISF also reported the suspected hacking of her WhatsApp account to Polda Metro Jaya. The WhatsApp hack was the starting point of the issue that led ISF to deal with Hercules.
‘This report relates to the problem of hacking the mobile phone of Ms ISF, which became the root of the matter, causing Hercules to become very angry, as if the WhatsApp had come from our client, even though it was not,’ explained Gufroni.
At that time, the victim could not access her WhatsApp account until she was allegedly detained by GRIB Jaya members on Sunday, 17 May 2026, which is connected to the alleged hacking.
As a result of this incident, the accused in the alleged WhatsApp hacking case have been charged under Article 48 of the Electronic Information and Transactions Law (UU ITE) read together with Article 32 and/or Article 51 read together with Article 35 UU ITE on data manipulation, as well as Article 332 of the Criminal Code on interception of other people’s electronic devices.
