Ahmad Bahar to File Additional Police Report Against Hercules Over Daughter's Alleged Detention
Ahmad Bahar has spoken about his dispute with GRIB Jaya chairman Rosario de Marshall, known as Hercules. Bahar stated he will file a new police report concerning allegations of unlawful entry into his home.
His daughter, Ilma Sani Fitriana, previously reported the alleged kidnapping to police. “Yesterday, it was my daughter who filed the report because she was the one subjected to the detention and abduction,” Bahar said on Sunday (24 May), as reported by detikJabar.
Bahar explained the new report relates to individuals entering his home despite his daughter informing them he was not present. “My daughter told them her father was not at home, yet one of the members forcibly entered up to the upper floors and bedrooms,” he said.
According to Bahar, the alleged unlawful entry was recorded on video. He attributed the incident to his WhatsApp account being hacked, which was then used to send videos to Hercules and his wife’s numbers. “Initially, my WhatsApp was hacked. So this misunderstanding stemmed from that,” Bahar said.
He admitted to issuing an apology after the incident surfaced but clarified it was due to his WhatsApp being cloned by someone else. “I apologised not for making the video, but because my number was cloned without my knowledge, leading to videos being sent to Hercules, his wife, and GRIB officials. I believe this was initially a misunderstanding,” he stated.
Bahar expressed confusion over the situation escalating to involve his daughter, stating his family had no prior connection with Hercules or GRIB Jaya leadership. “I am an ordinary person, my daughter is ordinary. We have never interacted with Mr Hercules, his wife, or key figures in GRIB,” he said.
Bahar also mentioned his daughter has been traumatised by the incident, noting she was withdrawn the following day. “The next day, my daughter was gloomy,” he added.
He confirmed the new report would be filed soon. “Within this week, as soon as possible,” Bahar said.
Previously, Ahmad Bahar’s daughter Ilma Sani Fitriana reported GRIB Jaya chairman Hercules to Polda Metro Jaya over alleged kidnapping. “For us, this constitutes a criminal act, including hostage-taking, abduction, verbal threats, and firearm use,” said Ilma’s lawyer, Gufroni, after filing the report at Polda Metro Jaya in South Jakarta on Friday (22 May).
Gufroni stated the report was based on Ilma’s account of being surrounded at home and allegedly forcibly taken to GRIB Jaya’s central office, where she faced threats. “This has deeply shaken our client. There was extreme fear, as on Sunday, 17 May, Miss Ilma was forcibly taken by a group to GRIB Jaya’s headquarters,” he said.
GRIB Jaya responded to the report, stating the allegations of detention do not align with facts. “If they continue to distort facts with narratives of hostage-taking or abduction, it is clearly absurd and unreasonable. How could there be a hostage situation? The public knows exactly who Mr Hercules is,” said GRIB Jaya spokesperson Marcel, as cited by detiknews.
Marcel described Hercules as a humanitarian figure unlikely to detain anyone. “He is a very social, humane individual known for his closeness to orphans. His character is far removed from such vile accusations,” he said.
Marcel urged all parties to examine the root cause of the dispute, insisting the facts were being misrepresented. “Do not distort the facts as if they are victims. There is undeniable legal evidence: Ahmad Bahar’s daughter’s phone was used to send provocative and threatening videos directly to Mr Hercules’s wife’s private number,” he said.
“This action is excessive as it invades domestic privacy and disrupts others’ peace. Do not deliberately stir up wild opinions and play the victim for public sympathy when digital records clearly show who initiated this terror,” he added.
Polda Metro Jaya has received a police report against Hercules and confirmed all reports will be processed, including Ilma’s.
