Ahead of the restrictions, hundreds of trucks crowd Merak Port

Hundreds of freight trucks crowded several berths at Merak Port in Merak City, Cilegon, Banten, on Wednesday (4 March). Umar Imran Batubara, General Manager of PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry, Merak Branch, said the congestion of truck vehicles occurred because drivers were chasing the schedule of truck operation restrictions from H-7 to H-1 Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah, in line with the Ministry of Transport’s Joint Decree, so that Merak Port would only service passenger ferries, private vehicles and buses.
