Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - The Directorate General of Taxes of the Ministry of Finance has revealed that 12,639,279 taxpayers have submitted their annual tax returns as of 29 April 2026. From this number, the DJP detailed that 10,508,502 employee individual taxpayers and 1,383,647 non-employee individual taxpayers have filed for the fiscal year from January to December 2025. Meanwhile, 725,390 corporate taxpayers have submitted in rupiah and 1,000 in US dollars. On the other hand, oil and gas annual tax return submissions number 7 in rupiah and 111 in US dollars. Separately, taxpayers with different fiscal years have submitted 20,588 corporate returns in rupiah and 34 in US dollars. Additionally, the number of taxpayers who have activated their Coretax DJP accounts reaches 18,837,611, comprising 17,662,350 individual taxpayers, 1,083,692 corporate taxpayers, 91,340 government institutions, and 229 digital economy taxpayers. As is known, today, Thursday (30 April 2026), marks the deadline for annual tax return submissions for both individual and corporate taxpayers. Specifically for individual taxpayers, the DJP has extended the penalty-free filing period from 31 March 2026 to 30 April 2026. To facilitate reporting, the Directorate General of Taxes of the Ministry of Finance has officially launched the Coretax mobile tax system. With this application, taxpayers can not only submit annual tax returns via the website https://coretaxdjp.pajak.go.id but also through the M-Pajak app. The Coretax Mobile/M-Pajak app can be used by individual taxpayers who have income from a single employer and for submitting normal annual income tax (PPh) returns (not amendments), with a nil status (not overpayment or underpayment). However, if taxpayers wish to amend their annual tax returns and/or report a status of overpayment or underpayment, they can submit via the website https://coretaxdjp.pajak.go.id. According to the DJP website, the Coretax Mobile or M-Pajak app can only be downloaded from the Play Store (Android) or App Store (iOS). With this application, taxpayers can not only submit annual tax returns via the website https://coretaxdjp.pajak.go.id but also through the M-Pajak app. The Coretax Mobile/M-Pajak app can be utilised by taxpayers meeting the following criteria: individual taxpayers; with income from a single employer; submitting normal annual income tax (PPh) returns (not amendments); nil annual tax return status (not overpayment or underpayment).
