Ahead of Rp119 Trillion Verdict, Plaintiffs Confident Lawsuit Will Be Granted by Judge

Ahead of the verdict in the civil case worth Rp119 trillion, PT Citra Marga Nusaphala Persada Tbk (CMNP) has conveyed its confidence in the final outcome of the trial. CMNP’s legal representative, Lucas, assessed that the entire series of court proceedings has presented strong foundations for the submitted lawsuit. The verdict hearing itself is scheduled for Wednesday, 22 April 2026, at the Central Jakarta District Court. According to Lucas, his side has presented various arguments supported by evidence, documents, witnesses, and expert testimonies during the trial process. “And it caused losses amounting to Rp119 trillion due to the inability to cash the Negotiable Certificate of Deposit (NCD) handed over to CMNP,” said Lucas on Wednesday, 15 April 2026. In CMNP’s view, several arguments presented by the defendants have been tested in the trial. They assessed that those arguments lack sufficient legal basis. “It is proven that the excuses put forward (by the defendants) so far, namely prescription, Ne Bis In Idem, lack of parties, and that the transaction was a sale-purchase, have no legal basis whatsoever,” he said. “In fact, the lawsuit filed by CMNP is on target, and the actual legal relationship that occurred is an exchange of securities,” he added. Besides the claim for material damages, CMNP also filed a request for security attachment over several assets belonging to the defendants. CMNP stated that the request was made considering the magnitude of the claimed losses reaching Rp119 trillion. They also claimed to have detailed the assets related to this case. On the other hand, CMNP highlighted the quality of evidence submitted by the defendants during the trial. With the series of processes that have taken place, CMNP hopes that the panel of judges will consider all trial facts objectively in the upcoming verdict. “It is in stark contrast to the original evidence, witnesses, and experts presented by CMNP,” he said.
