Ahead of REI's 54th Anniversary in 2026, South Lampung Regency Prepares to Become a Hub for Activities and Investment Magnet
KALIANDA (Lampungpro.co): The South Lampung Regency Government (Pemkab) is preparing to become one of the national centres of attention for property investment. Hundreds of developers from across Indonesia are scheduled to attend the series of events marking the 54th anniversary of Real Estate Indonesia (REI), to be held in Lampung from 5-8 May 2026.
This was revealed during an audience between the Central Board of REI (DPP REI) and the Lampung Provincial REI Regional Board (DPD REI) with the Regent of South Lampung, Radityo Egi Pratama, on Wednesday (22/4/2026).
The audience was attended by the Deputy General Chairman of DPP REI, Djoko Handoko Halim Santoso, along with several REI officials, as well as the Governor’s Assistant for Infrastructure and Regional Development, Anshori Djausal.
In the meeting, Djoko Handoko Halim Santoso stated that the REI anniversary events would feature a number of strategic agendas, such as a business forum, tree planting in the Kotabaru area, and an educational tour to Mount Anak Krakatau in South Lampung.
“This event will be attended by hundreds of REI member companies from across Indonesia. We will also hold a business forum featuring major developers, which is expected to open up new investment opportunities in Lampung, particularly in South Lampung,” said Djoko Handoko.
According to him, South Lampung has strong appeal for investors, supported by increasingly developed infrastructure such as toll road access, as well as flagship tourism potential ranging from Mount Anak Krakatau and Mount Rajabasa to prospective coastal areas for economic and tourism development.
In addition, REI hopes that the South Lampung Regency Government can play an active role as host, while collaborating on several national event agendas.
In response, Regent of South Lampung, Radityo Egi Pratama, welcomed the plan positively. He assessed that the national-scale event presents a strategic opportunity to strengthen investment and regional promotion.
Furthermore, Egi conveyed that the local government is currently developing the “Spirit of Krakatoa” concept as city branding for South Lampung to strengthen the region’s identity at the national level.
“South Lampung has great potential for development, both in the tourism and investment sectors. We are very open to collaborating with various parties, including REI, in driving development that impacts community welfare,” said Egi.
The local government is ready to fully support activities that provide positive impacts on regional economic growth. Through this audience, it is hoped that synergy will be built between the local government and business actors in encouraging investment inflows and accelerating development in South Lampung.
