Ahead of negotiations with the US, Iranian delegation arrives in Islamabad

Islamabad (ANTARA) - A high-level Iranian delegation led by Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf arrived in Islamabad on Saturday to attend upcoming negotiations with the United States (US), according to a statement from Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The delegation also includes Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi.

According to the statement, the Iranian delegation was welcomed upon arrival by Pakistani Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar, along with National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Chief of Defence Staff and Army Chief of Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, and Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi.

Ishaq Dar expressed hope that the parties could engage in constructive dialogue and reaffirmed Pakistan’s willingness to continue facilitating various efforts towards a lasting and sustainable solution to the conflict.
