PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) has released ticket-sale data ahead of Lebaran, Eid al-Fitr 1447 H. To date, 600,383 train tickets have been sold.

‘KAI has set the Lebaran transport period from 11 March to 1 April 2026. The availability of seats and occupancy, or sales, for long-distance trains departing Gambir and Pasar Senen stations,’ said Franoto Wibowo, public relations spokesperson for KAI Daop 1 Jakarta, in a statement on Thursday (5 March 2026).

From data received by detikcom, KAI provides a total capacity of 1,043,573 seats during the Lebaran homecoming period. Franoto said there are still 461,772 tickets available for the Lebaran homecoming.

‘Sisa tempat duduk keseluruhan: 461.772 seat. Rata-rata okupansi (keterisian tempat duduk) sementara kurang lebih 58%,’ he added.

The peak period for departures is 11 March–20 March 2026. Specifically, 299,407 tickets remain available for the executive class, 155,081 for commercial economy, and 7,284 for PSO economy.

Franoto also detailed that during 11 March–20 March 2026 there are 77,050 seats available, 21–22 March 2026 there are 24,314 seats, and 23 March–1 April there are 360,408 seats.

‘There is a 30% government transport subsidy for the period 14–29 March 2026. Nationally, 1.2 million seats are prepared,’ he said.

‘For Daop 1 Jakarta specifically there are 329,000 seats in the commercial economy class. The remaining seats total 85,000,’ he added.
