Ahead of Lebaran 2026, Repairs on Trans-Sumatra Toll Roads Accelerated
Hutama Karya (Persero) together with its subsidiary PT Hakaaston (HKA) is accelerating pavement maintenance on the Terbanggi Besar–Kayu Agung (Terpeka) and Pekanbaru–Dumai (Permai) toll roads. This collaboration is aimed at ensuring the pavement remains reliable and safe to support the smooth movement of the public and the distribution of logistics.
‘Maintenance at these points is targeted to be completed before 10 March 2026. This acceleration of maintenance is a step by the toll road concessionaire (BUJT) to maintain the standard of toll road service quality,’ said Hamdani, Acting Executive Vice President and Corporate Secretary of Hutama Karya, in a written statement in Jakarta on Saturday, 7 March 2026.
Hamdani added that Hutama Karya apologises for any inconvenience that may arise during the works. He urged road users to exercise caution, observe the signs, and follow the directions of on-site staff for everyone’s safety.
‘If there are complaints or further information is needed, road users can contact the call centres of the respective toll road sections or via the official Hutama Karya toll road account @HutamaKaryaTollRoad,’ Hamdani said.
HKA Operations Director Martin Nababan said maintenance on the Permai Toll Road is being carried out at two points, namely from KM 49+250 to KM 49+200 and from KM 78+856 to KM 78+760. Meanwhile for the Terpeka Toll Road, work is being performed on several segments spread from KM 188+542.50 to KM 330+404.00 on Route A to maintain driving comfort and safety.
‘By focusing on road reliability on the Permai and Terpeka Toll Roads, the repairs are carried out earlier. Road user safety is our top priority,’ Martin said.
