Ahead of Gibran's Arrival, 1,500 Joint Personnel Deployed in Kupang
Personnel are already prepared. A number of personnel will be placed at locations passed by the Vice President.
Kupang (ANTARA) - As many as 1,500 combined personnel from the TNI and Police have been deployed to secure the working visit of Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka to the City of Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara, on Monday (6/4).
Commander of Korem 161/Wira Sakti Kupang, Brigadier General TNI Hendro Cahyono, in Kupang on Sunday, said the personnel will be placed at several points along the routes and activity locations of the Vice President.
“Personnel are ready. A number of personnel will be placed at locations passed by the Vice President,” he said.
According to him, during the visit, the Vice President is scheduled to attend the 2026 Easter procession organised by the Gereja Injili Masehi di Timor (GMIT).
“The main activity is to open the Easter procession at the Bundaran PU in Kupang City,” he stated.
After the series of activities, the Vice President is scheduled to continue his working visit to Manado.
Hendro urged the public in Kupang City and Kupang Regency to help maintain security and order during the visit.
“We hope the public can join together in maintaining security ahead of and during the Vice President’s visit,” he said.
