Ahead of Eid, Pertamina Increases 9 Million LPG Cylinder Supply for Central Java and Yogyakarta
PT Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Central Java (JBT) is increasing the supply of 9 million three-kilogramme liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) cylinders for the 2026 Eid holiday period. In addition to Central Java, the additional supply is also being distributed to the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY).
The total additional three-kilogramme LPG supply distributed by PT Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional JBT amounts to 9,047,530 cylinders. A total of 8,225,930 cylinders have been allocated for the Central Java region, whilst the remaining 821,600 cylinders are being distributed to Yogyakarta.
Total normal LPG consumption in Central Java and Yogyakarta reaches 37,742,120 cylinders. This means the additional supply of 9 million cylinders is equivalent to approximately 24 per cent of normal consumption.
“We are ensuring that this additional LPG three-kilogramme supply can maintain stock reliability in the field, particularly at the retail base level, so that the public does not need to worry about the availability of three-kilogramme LPG during Ramadan through Eid,” stated Area Manager Communication, Relations & Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) for Central Java at PT Pertamina Patra Niaga, Taufiq Kurniawan, in his statement on Sunday (15/3/2026).
The distribution of the additional 9 million three-kilogramme LPG cylinders is carried out in stages following the trend of increased public consumption. Of the total 9 million cylinders, approximately 5.9 million cylinders are included in facultative distribution, whilst the remaining 3.1 million cylinders are extra drops.
Facultative distribution is replacement distribution carried out during national holidays. Extra drops are additional supplies distributed alongside regular distribution to strengthen stock availability in the field, particularly during periods of increased public consumption.
The details of facultative three-kilogramme LPG distribution in Central Java and Yogyakarta are as follows: 1,181,680 cylinders on 17 February 2026; 1,573,600 cylinders on 19 March 2026; 1,573,600 cylinders on 21 March 2026; and 1,573,600 cylinders on 3 April 2026.
“We urge the public to purchase three-kilogramme LPG at official Pertamina retail bases. Not only is the stock guaranteed, but the price is also ensured to be in accordance with provisions set by the government, which is a maximum retail price (HET) of Rp18,000,” said Taufiq Kurniawan.
