Jasamarga recorded an increase in traffic volume on the Mohamed Bin Zayed (MBZ) elevated toll road on H-3 before Eid, or Wednesday, 18 March 2026.

General Manager of Operations and Maintenance at PT Jasamarga Jalanlayang Cikampek, Desti Anggraeni, stated that the volume of vehicles leaving Jakarta was recorded at 64,985 vehicles.

“This is far higher than normal traffic of 21,787 vehicles, marking an increase of 198.27 percent,” she said in a written statement on Thursday, 19 March 2026.

Inbound traffic towards Jakarta also saw an increase, with a volume of 28,788 vehicles, up 30.32 percent from normal traffic of 22,090 vehicles. Overall, the total number of vehicles passing through the MBZ elevated road in both directions reached 93,773 vehicles.

Desti said that lane closures were still in place on the MBZ toll road due to vehicle density. This measure was implemented situationally towards the Cikampek direction at the discretion of the police.

“This step was also taken to alleviate the congestion that occurred, including at the Kilometre 48 exit due to the convergence of traffic flows from the Jakarta-Cikampek route,” she added.

Jasamarga advised road users passing through the MBZ elevated road section to continue prioritising safety. The condition of drivers and vehicles should be in prime condition, ensuring sufficient battery power and fuel, as well as anticipating potential weather changes.
