Ahead of Eid Holiday Period, Jetour Demonstrates T2 SUV Body Strength
PT Jetour Sales Indonesia showcased the structural strength of its T2 SUV during a media Iftar event at MGP Space in Jakarta on Tuesday, 10 March 2026. The demonstration revealed that the T2’s body structure can withstand loads exceeding 350 kilograms.
According to Moch Ranggy Radiansyah, Marketing Director of PT Jetour Sales Indonesia, the Jetour T2 is built with a Hardtop Cage Body Monocoque structure utilising approximately 80 percent high-strength steel. This structure is engineered to provide vehicle strength and stability.
The vehicle structure features a static load capacity of up to 300 kilograms and achieves torsion rigidity of 31,000 Newton metres (Nm) per degree. This means a twisting force of 31,000 Nm is required to deflect or shift the chassis by one degree. This figure demonstrates the level of body rigidity designed to support vehicle stability during operation.
“Through this demonstration, we want to show that this strength is not merely a claim, but truly forms the foundation of safety in every journey,” said Ranggy.
The Jetour T2 is also equipped with technology that enhances driver visibility. One such feature is the 540° Jetour Surround Vision system, which provides a comprehensive view of the area surrounding the vehicle. The system also displays a transparent chassis view, allowing the driver to monitor conditions around the vehicle’s undercarriage. This feature assists in manoeuvreing the vehicle in tight spaces or on uneven road surfaces.
Additionally, the vehicle is designed to handle various road conditions through Flood Ready and Terrain Ready features. The Wading Radar technology enables the vehicle to detect water depth in real time. With this system, the vehicle can reportedly traverse water accumulation up to approximately 70 centimetres deep. The Jetour T2 also features a ground clearance of 220 millimetres, which helps the vehicle navigate uneven road surfaces.
To support driving safety, the Jetour T2 is equipped with Bosch ADAS Suite featuring fifth-generation radar and third-generation cameras. This system provides Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems that help maintain safe distances and vehicle stability.
