Ahead of Eid al-Fitr, Ramadan Programmes and Eid Bazaars Enliven Shopping Mall Activities
As Eid al-Fitr approaches, shopping centres are beginning to introduce various themed programmes to attract visitors whilst facilitating community needs during Ramadan. From traditional Ramadan decorations, Eid bazaars, to various family entertainment activities, all form part of the range of activities offered.
One such initiative is being undertaken by Lippo Mall Kemang, which is presenting a Ramadan programme titled “A Season of Harmony”. The programme runs until 29 March 2026 and features various shopping activities, entertainment, and family events throughout the holy month.
The programme embodies the spirit of togetherness, care, and harmony that are important values during Ramadan. Visitors can enjoy various activities ranging from thematic decorative installations, Eid necessity bazaars, to entertainment to accompany evening prayers with family.
One of the main attractions this year is Ramadan decoration with a Peranakan cultural theme that blends Middle Eastern elements with rich and detailed Oriental aesthetics. The decoration, dominated by red tones, reflects cultural synthesis that represents Indonesia’s diversity and the value of tolerance embedded in society.
The decorative installation is placed in the Main Atrium, showcasing pavilions with dome and tower elements in Middle Eastern style combined with distinctive Peranakan ornaments. This concept is expected to create a warm Ramadan atmosphere whilst serving as a shared space for visitors wishing to enjoy the Ramadan moment with family ahead of Eid al-Fitr.
As the Eid moment draws nearer, the shopping centre is also presenting Harmony Market, a thematic bazaar offering various Eid necessities. In this area, visitors can find various products ranging from Muslim fashion for men and women, accessories, hampers, dry cakes, to various other Eid supplies.
Besides shopping activities, a series of Ramadan events are also held every weekend during the event period at the Main Atrium. Various interactive activities and entertainment with Islamic nuance are presented to accompany visitors spending their time before breaking their fast, whilst creating an atmosphere of togetherness ahead of the breaking of the fast.
At the Avenue of The Stars, visitors can also watch a Middle Eastern music performance, Darbuka by Daood Debu, which features energetic and attractive rhythms. This performance is expected to add vibrancy to the Ramadan atmosphere at the shopping centre.
As part of the Ramadan programme, management is also presenting a shopping programme for loyal customers. Through the “Blessed Oil Free” programme, visitors who are users of the Styles – Lippo Malls Rewards application have the opportunity to obtain free cooking oil subject to applicable terms and conditions.
Mall Director Dimas Aditya Kusuma stated that the “A Season of Harmony” theme was presented to create a warm and memorable Ramadan atmosphere for Lippo Mall Kemang visitors.
“Through the A Season of Harmony theme, we want to present a warm and memorable Ramadan atmosphere for our visitors at Lippo Mall Kemang. We present the Peranakan cultural-themed decoration touches as a form of celebrating cultural diversity that is Indonesia’s wealth,” he said in an official statement on Thursday (12/3).
He added that, ahead of Eid al-Fitr, the centre hoped that the shopping mall could become a place for people to enjoy the Ramadan moment, gather with family, and complete various Eid necessities in an atmosphere full of colour and togetherness.
With the series of programmes and thematic decorations with Peranakan cultural nuance, management hopes that “A Season of Harmony” activities can become one of the destinations for Jakarta and surrounding residents to enjoy the Ramadan atmosphere whilst preparing for the Eid al-Fitr celebration with family and loved ones.
